The Alabama Adventure Water and Theme Park, a 200-acre park located in Bessemer, Alabama, boasts a total of 30 rides with 3 roller coaster rides and 7 different water rides. Originally named Visionland, the park changed name several times before settling with its current name in 2007.

Aside from being a constant attraction for the locals, the theme and water park is a tourist destination for people in cross-country trips across. In 2005, the Alabama Adventure Park has received a total of 345,000 visitors which made it the second most-visited tourist attraction just after the Birmingham Zoo.

The park has also received various awards and recognition including the award for the Alabama Attraction of the Year in 2007. It also played host to the First Financial Bank Concert Series which featured performances from artists such as Vanessa Hudgens, Jesse McCartney and Raven Symone.

The park features are divided into two different categories - theme park rides and water park attractions. Some of the water park rides to enjoy include the Kahuna Waves which is a wave generated pool mixed with white sands and 800,000 gallons of water. Visitors will also enjoy the Neptune's Plunge, composed of four closed dark tubes complemented with twists and turns together with a huge splash at the end of the ride. Splashdown is a water park attraction that puts riders on a Topsy-turvy ride into a 50-foot drop safe splash pool. For divers looking for a different kind of water slide will enjoy the Acapulco Drop which drops tourists from 9 stories up in free-fall.

Alabama Adventure's theme park attraction features the Adventure Express, providing visitors a nice tour of the park using the classical train. The park's Ferris Wheel ride is called the Balloon Wheel while the Barnstormer is an aerial ride that uses World War I era airplanes that soar up high into the sky. Also a park highlight is the Zoomerang which is a triple inversion steel roller coaster.
