The Alabama Chicken & Egg Festival is an annual celebration in Moulton, Alabama. It is a two-day festival that is complete with live entertainment, food vendors, educational exhibits, arts and crafts fair, and children?s activities among many others.

The Alabama Chicken & Egg Festival is a celebration of the state?s number one industry, which is agriculture. Connected to it is the fact that Alabama is the 3rd largest producer of birds in the country, with its 1 billion birds a year. So, as way to celebrate such great things, the festival was established.

Other activities during the Alabama Chicken & Egg Festival include the Chicken Clucking Contest, youth beauty pageant, chicken wing and hardboiled egg eating contests, and a photography contest. The event is also a part of the Alabama Department of Tourism?s top 50 Must-See Music Festival List.
