The Alabama Museum of the Health Sciences is a historic museum in Birmingham, Alabama focused on the development of the health sciences. It was established in 1975, inside the campus of the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

The Alabama Museum of the Health Sciences is filled with items showcasing the history and development of the health sciences in the field of research, education and practice in the United States. They put more emphasis on the contributions of the state of Alabama on the field, however. The current exhibits include the letters of Florence Nightingale, best known as the mother of Nursing, as well as the ‘Heads Up Alabama!’ which is focused on the role of psychology in overall health and wellness.

The areas tackled in the Alabama Museum of the Health Sciences include nursing, medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, public health, and allied health just to name a few.
