The Alabama Renaissance Faire is an annual event in Florence, Alabama. It celebrates Florence?s heritage as the ?Renaissance City?.

Like other renaissance fairs, the Alabama Renaissance Faire recreates the medieval setting for visitors to participate in and enjoy. It was started in 1987 and has already gained quite an excellent reputation. It was named by the Southeast Tourist Society of Atlanta as one of the Top 20 events in the Southeast and is recognized by more than 800 media outlets. Despite being rather small in size as compared to other commercial faire, this one make up with personality.

Regularly held in Wilson Park (which is generally renamed as the Fountain-on-the-Green for the fair), the Alabama Renaissance Fair takes place for two days during the fourth full weekend of October.
