The Alabama Theatre is a historic entertainment house in Birmingham, Alabama. It was built in 1927 by the Paramount Pictures, originally as a silent film movie house. It is a 2500-seater theatre, making it one of the larger movie theatres in the city. Today, it is the last remaining venue of its size in the city from the pre-Depression era.

The Alabama Theatre has a number of things to boast of:

1. Its Crawford Special-Publix One Mighty Wurlitzer, which is a very rare organ with only 25 pieces of its model to have ever been built.

2. It was designated as the state of Alabama’s official historic theatre.

3. The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage.
