The Azalea Trail Maids is a group of fifty high school seniors that are chosen annually to serve as the city of Mobile, Alabama?s ?Official Ambassadors?. They represent the ideals of ?Southern hospitality?, and usually make their appearances in antebellum-style dresses on various local, state, and national events. They are also usually delegated to serve as greeters when foreigners and other dignitaries visit the city and are required to know a great deal about the city?s history and landmarks.

Being an Azalea Trail Maid is truly quite an honor. And with all the functions and activities these young girls go together, they tend to build rapport and bond. This is why the Annual Azalea Trail Maid Reunion is celebrated in the city of Mobile yearly.
