The Arlington Antebellum Home and Gardens is an arts museum in Birmingham, Alabama. It is also a historic property built around the late 1840s, featuring antebellum period elements in its Greek Revival architecture.

The Arlington Antebellum Home and Gardens is historically significant for being Birmingham?s only antebellum mansion. It escaped the ugly fate of being destroyed by becoming the Union troops? headquarters where they planned on burning the University of Alabama.

Featuring a collection of 19th century decorative arts, the Arlington Antebellum Home and Gardens offers visitors a quick peek into the life of the well off families back in the 1800s. On display are century-old paintings, silver, textiles, and furniture. There?s also a beautiful garden on the site. Aside from tours, the site can also be rented out for parties and other celebrations.
