The Byler Road is a historic public road in Northport, Alabama. It was built around the 1820s, making it the oldest public road in the state today.

The Byler Road connects Courtland to Tuscaloosa. It is very notable since its creation allowed the development of the surrounding areas. It all started right after the Creek War, when settlers began to move in the area in 1816. When the road was completed, towns and commercial establishments were built around it and more settlers moved into the area. It also aided the local cotton industry, since transporting such wares was made easy by the newly built road.

The Byler Road is now a part of the National Register of Historic Places for its great historical significance.
