The Carlen House is a historic house in Mobile, Alabama. It was built in 1843 by Michael and Mary Carlen. The Carlens were originally from Ireland who decided to settle in the US. They lived in the house with their twelve children.

The Carlen House served primarily as a farm house during the 19th century. However, in 1923, 38 acres of the farm lands were acquired by the Mobile County School Board. The acquired lot was used for a public school, which resulted to the house being located currently on the northern edge of the Murphy High School campus.

The Carlen House is now operated as a historic house museum. It offers visitors a glimpse of what life was like for a farmhouse during the 19th century.
