The Chattahoochee Indian Heritage Center is an educational hub in Fort Mitchell, Alabama. It is focused on the history of the Creek Nation.

Located right in the homeland of the old Creek Nation, the Chattahoochee Indian Heritage Center commemorates and celebrates the heritage of the area and the people who fought valiantly for their lands. As history has it, the Creek Nation is the most powerful force in the Alabama and Georgia regions back in the days. However, the colonial period drove them out of their land.

So, in celebration of the great strides of the group, the Chattahoochee Indian Heritage Center was established in the late 1980s. Its centerpiece is the 21-footer steel and bronze sculpture, which is a representation of the Sacred Fire that once burned in the heart of every Creek town.
