The Christ Church Cathedral is a historic cathedral of the Episcopalian faith in Mobile, Alabama. The structure was built in 1840 and it has always served the first Episcopal congregation in the city and the entire state of Alabama.

The Christ Church Cathedral was built in the Greek Revival style. Its history goes back to 1823 when the Christ Church Parish was founded after the protestant denominations all split up and built their own houses.

The Christ Church Cathedral isn?t really a designated historic site, but it is still a noted structure for its achievements. Most damages that the church building has incurred were from hurricanes. The first one was in 1906, which caused the collapse of the steeple and destroyed the interior of the church. The second one was because of Hurricane Katrina.
