Also commonly known as the Clarkson Covered Bridge Park, the Clarkson Bridge Park in Bethel, Alabama is a public park that is owned and operated by the Cullman County Commission. It was established in 1976 by the said agency in part of the celebration of the American Bicentennial.

The main element of the Clarkson Bridge Park is the Clarkson-Legg Covered Bridge which is built in 1904 and is the second longest covered span in all of Alabama with its 270 feet stretch across the Crooked Creek. The site is quite historic as well, being the original location of the covered bridge. The span was once commonly used by farmers and travelers. It served the community until 1962 when it was bypassed by a concrete bridge nearby.

Aside from the covered bridge, visitors can also explore the site where the Battle of the Hog Mountain took place in 1863. There?s also a historic gristmill and a dogtrot log cabin on the site of the Clarkson Bridge Park.
