The area may not seem like too much today, but the Cleveland Court Apartments 620-638 is actually a historic apartment building. It is most noted for its connection with Miss Rosa Parks, a well known figure during the Civil Rights Movement period in the United States.

The Cleveland Court Apartments 620-638 is special for once becoming the home of Rosa Parks and her family. She lived here with her husband Raymond and mother Leona McCauley from 1955 to 1956, about the same time when the Montgomery Bus Boycott took place. They occupied the unit 634, making the whole place a noteworthy site.

The Cleveland Court Apartments 620-638 is a part of the Cleveland Court Apartment Complex. However, only the building was listed on the National register of Historic Places and the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage.
