In Decatur, Alabama, you can find a very unique and interesting attraction known as the Cook?s Natural Science Museum. It was originally built in the 1960s as a training facility by Cook?s Pest Control, but its collection of insects grew, so it attracted attention, and the company needed to answer the requests to see the collection quickly.
After some persuasion, Cook?s finally displayed their collection. In 1969, they started as a traveling insect exhibit, displaying their stuff on libraries, hospitals, schools, malls, and other venues in Alabama. They only go their permanent venue in 1980.
Cook?s Natural Science Museum has already gone a long way from its humble beginnings. Today, it not only exhibits insects, but also other kinds of wildlife.
