The Eagle Weekend is an annual event at the Joe Wheeler State Park in Rogersville, Alabama. The event is mostly a gathering for birding enthusiasts as well as a celebration of the American Bald Eagle, one of America’s greatest symbols.

The event is regularly held and sponsored by the Joe Wheeler State Park. They offer festival goers to learn more about the majestic creature through an interpretive programs consisted of talks, fireside chats, and lectures given by experts. Folks are also invited to explore the Wheeler Wildlife Refuge and their numerous waterfowl species, as well as the North Alabama Birding tour.

The Eagle Weekend regularly takes place around the month of January when birds come to town to enjoy the warm Southern weather.
