The Fairhope Museum of History is a historical museum in Fairhope, Alabama. It features mostly local history, with a number of permanent and changing exhibits.
Housed in the old city hall and jail house, the Fairhope Museum of History is sort of like a time capsule of the city of Fairhope. It tells of the area?s colorful past, from its founders, to its political lineage, and even its Native American and African-American history. It also features stories of its old families and some historic structures around town. A series of activities for children are also available, as well as access to some files and documents that could be pertinent to some research works.
The Fairhope Museum of History is open every Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm.
