The Fort Conde is a reproduction of a historic area in Mobile, Alabama. It dates back to the 18th century, when the fortifications were built by the French. It is also known as Fort Carlota and the Fort Charlotte. The reconstruction is a 4/5 scale of the original fort, but it is also located on the very same spot Fort Conde was built.

The Fort Conde was used by the French, Spanish, and British forces at various times when each colonizer had their chance of taking hold of Mobile. This is why the fort has various names it go by, most of which resembling each other.
The current Fort Conde was built in 1976 in part of the local celebration of the United States? bicentennial station. It was made to be 1/3 of the actual size of the original site.
