The Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum is Alabama?s official railroad museum. Located in Birmingham in Calera, Alabama, the museum aims to preserve, restore, and operate several railway equipment that have acquired historical significance over the years. Since they represent different periods in the railroad industry, they are able to illustrate its development. The Museum features exhibits and operating railroads. It also offers educational programs that entertain, educated, and engage the visitors.
