The Heaviest Corner on Earth is a historic location in Birmingham, Alabama. It is the corner of the 20th Street and 1st Avenue North in the city, dubbed as such for being the home of the four of the of the tallest buildings in the South in the early 1900s. These four skyscrapers were the Woodward Building with its ten floors built in 1902, the 16 story Brown Marx and Empire Buildings completed in 1906 and 1909 respectively, and the America Trust and Savings Bank Building built in 1912 with 21 floors.

These four historic buildings that compose the Heaviest Corner on Earth still stand until today. it was honored by the Birmingham Historical Society in 1985 by erecting a marker and helping it become a part of the National Register of Historic Places.
