The Henry D. Clayton House is a historic home in Clayton, Alabama. It is best noted for being the home of Henry De Lamar Clayton, Jr., at different points of his life. It was his birth place as well as childhood and adult home.
Henry De Lamar Clayton, Jr, is a very notable figure back in his day. He worked as a part of the Alabama House of Representatives in the early 1890s and then became a US Attorney for the Middle District of Alabama afterwards.

He also served as a permanent chairman for the Democratic National Convention in 1908. However, he?s best known for penning the Clayton Antitrust Act of 1914, which helped prevent economic monopoly.

The Henry D. Clayton House is a National Historic Landmark.
