Bridge hunters and photographers can add the Horton Mill Covered Bridge to their list. This 220-foot long and 80-foot wide covered wood bridge adorns the landmark in the river crossover of Horton Mill Road along Alabama Highway 75.

It connects the gap between the Calvert Prong of the Little Warrior River.
Constructed in 1934, the bridge features a Town Lattice truss style of construction. At 70 feet, or 21 meters above ground, it is the highest covered bridge. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 29, 1970. It is currently under the administration of the Alabama Department of Transportation.

The bridge is famous among residents and bridge hunters for its simple, rustic beauty and the surrounding mountain views and forests. Many people camp or picnic around the area.
