The Jesse Owens Memorial Park and Museum is a complex in the community of Oakville, Danville, Alabama that is dedicated and focused on the life of Jess Owens, a world renowned Olympic gold medalist and athlete.

Back in the days, there were only three markers in Danville, commemorating the fact that one of the greatest athletes in history was born there. This is why in the early 1990s, plans to develop a memorial complex that will honor the great contributions and fame that Owens brought home. The site features a series of excellent attractions. Some features of the site include a museum, a statue of Owens, an Olympic Gold Medal Tree (oak), and replicas of the 1936 torch and Owens? home.

The Jesse Owens Memorial Park and Museum is open every Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 am to 4 pm, and on Sundays at 1 to 4 pm.
