The Knox Concert Series is a series of events in Anniston, Alabama. It celebrates the busy music scene of the Model City.
The city of Anniston has always had a very active music scene. It is even home to the Anniston Music Club that dates back to the early 1900s. It was renamed into the Knox Music Club in honor of Carrie McClure Knox, the daughter of prominent Anniston figures, Atty. John Knox. Carrie Knox was a woman of the arts, being an excellent pianist and theatre expert back in her days.
In the legacy of the Knox Music Club is the Knox Concert Series. It was first held in 1946 and continued to bring home world renowned musical and dance acts.
