The Little River Canyon National Preserve is a natural area and park in Fort Payne, Alabama. It features the Little River Canyon, which is also the deepest river gorge in the country, aside from the Grand Canyon.

The little River Canyon National Preserve is a very unique site, since it also features the Little River, which flows mostly atop the Lookout Mountain. It also presents visitors a number of other natural attractions which include its scenic surroundings, waterfalls, a 700-foot deep gorge, and some wilderness. There are also tons of activities available, some of which are rock climbing, canoeing, rappelling, camping, picnicking, whitewater kayaking, horseback riding, hiking, and hunting on designated schedules.

Some areas inside the Little River Canyon National Preserve require fee before you can access them, though, so make sure to learn the ropes while you?re there.
