The Mobile Medical Museum is a museum in Mobile, Alabama, that is focused on the medical field. It started out with a donation by Miss Patricia Heustis Paterson in 1962. Miss Paterson was the daughter of the late James F. Heustis, M. D., a local physician, who had a great medical career.

Miss Paterson donated a collection of artifacts and documents that was once her father?s belongings to start the museum. She did it in honor and memorial to her father, who was a Mobile native and practiced in the area as well.

Through the years, the collection continued to grow, leading to the repeated relocation of the museum.

Today, the Mobile Medical Museum is housed in the historic 1827 home of Captain Benjamin Vincent. It is open by appointment, so make sure to make reservations before heading out to the site.
