The Mobile Zoo is a very interesting site in Mobile, Alabama. Upfront, it may seem like a tourist trap with its old barn entrance, but there’s actually a lot behind the front doors. They really do offer a great experience that has something to do with a great load of animals.

The Mobile Zoo is set up just like a farm, but aside from cattle, you can also find deer, llamas, monkeys, bears, tigers, lions, miniature Sicilian donkeys, and buffalo on the site. All of these you can see for just $7, and if you add a couple of extra bucks, you also get a bag of peanuts so you can feed the animals.

Aside from the wildlife, the Mobile Zoo is also known for hosting fairs and events like their Renaissance Fair, most of which has something to do with the site’s aim to preserve wildlife and the “Old West”.
