The Palisades Park is a beautiful outdoor site in Oneonta, Alabama. It is dubbed as one of Blount County’s “best kept secret”.

The Palisades Park boasts of a stunning vista, thanks to its location atop of the Ebell Mountain and foothills of the Southern Appalachians. The palisades of the mountain ranges serve as the base of the park, which is actually an excellent idea, as it helps preserve the site that is already more than 200 million years old.

The Palisades Park is most popular among rock climbers. However, it also offers a close up look into a 1820s pioneer village with picnic areas and a couple of nature trails. There’s also a magnificent overlooking view, which is just exquisite.
