The Protestant Children?s Home is a historic structure in Mobile, Alabama. It was built in 1845 as a result of the effort started by a group of women from various Protestant denominations in the city. It is a notable action, as Mobile was largely dominated by the Roman Catholic faith back in the day.

The efforts of building the Protestant Children?s Home started in 1839 when a group of Protestant women took steps in establishing an orphanage for children. The structure housed the orphanage known as the Protestant Orphan Asylum Society, who took up girls up to 18 years old and boys up to 14 years of age. The building was designed by Henry Moffatt after the Late Federal style.
The Protestant Children?s Home was used for various purposes in the past years. Recently, however, it was established as a rental property.
