The Rural Fun Day is an annual event held in Thomaston, Alabama. It is initiated by the Alabama Rural Heritage Foundation, and regularly held at the Alabama Rural Heritage Center. It usually takes place every last weekend of August as a summer festival.

Basically, Rural Fun Day is about celebrating the rural life and the traditions of western Alabama. The festivities is filled with various events including a 5k run, a domino tournament, gospel music, pottery throwing, storytelling, chair caning, and other art and crafts like basket weaving, quilting, spinning, tatting, and weaving. Native American crafts are also available to be enjoyed.

The Rural Fun Day is considered as the third largest event to be held in Marengo County yearly. However, it was later renamed to the Pepper Jelly Festival and moved during the months of spring to avoid the excruciating heat of August.
