The Sam Phillips Music Celebration is an annual musical event in Florence, Alabama. It honors and celebrates the history and heritage of Sam Phillips, best known as ?The Father of Rock n? Roll? and discoverer of many famous acts like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, BB King, Charlie Rich, Carl Perkins, Rufus Thomas and many others.

Sam Phillips is a Florence native. He is best known for launching big careers in the music industry, but he was also a musician himself.

Started in 2005, the Sam Phillips Music Celebration is a weeklong festival that is composed of several events that celebrate the life of Sam Phillips. Filled with live entertainment, the event usually takes place around the month of January.
