The Tuskegee Institute National Historic Site is a historic area in Tuskegee, Alabama. It features the beginnings of the Tuskegee University, which is also a great marker of the great strides and achievements of Booker T. Washington and his aims to help the African American youth to be educated and well informed.

The Tuskegee Institute National Historic Site is located in the Tuskegee University campus. It traces its roots to 1881, when it was established as the Tuskegee Normal School for Colored Teachers.

The establishment of the Tuskegee Institute National Historic Site was made possible by its National Historic Landmark designation in 1965. The coverage of the designation includes the graves of Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver, the Booker Washington monument, the GWC Museum, and The Oaks.
