The Twickenham Historic District is a historic area in Huntsville, Alabama. It is best noted for being the oldest area in the city, taking its name after the old name of Huntsville, which LeRoy Pope gave to it, taken after Twickenham, England.

The Twickenham Historic District is the first historic district to be designated in Huntsville. It features a large number of antebellum houses that some even consider as the biggest number in any given area in Alabama. Its most notable structures are the Weeden House Museum and the Helion Lodge #1.

If you’re interested in getting a glimpse of these historic structures in Huntsville, you can always contact the Huntsville Pilgrimage Association. They host annual tours of these historic homes.
