The Veterans Park is the newest and largest park in Hoover, Alabama. It was established in 2007 as a way to honor the memory and great contributions of the Veterans not only in the area, but all over the country. A large monument was also erected in commemoration of those who served the country through the armed forces.

Aside from its special purpose, the Veterans Park is also best known for its 5k cross-country course that is professionally developed for walking and jogging. The trail was intended to host the annual Great American Country Race, so it is just normal that it was made the best way possible. It is also open all year long for free.

Aside from the trail, the Veterans Park offers other special features. It has two playgrounds, two small lakes, fields, wetlands, and some forested areas. It is also packed with amenities that people can surely find convenient to further enjoy the site.
