The Victoryland is an entertainment venue in Shorter, Alabama. It is composed of a greyhound racing track, a 5-star hotel, and a casino. It is fondly dubbed as a ?racino?.

Victoryland is actually a pretty massive venture in Shorter. The hotel, the Oasis Hotel, has 300 rooms, which is no easy feat to operate. However, due to the recent turn of events, the hotel and the casino has been closed without any further notice about its reopening. Its owner, Milton McGregor, along with several other state senators and lobbyists, was also recently arrested in relation to the ?improprieties of state gambling legislation?.

Today, only the Victoryland Greyhound Park remains in operation, although, games and races are temporarily suspended at the moment.
