The Whitten-Everet House is a historic home in Huntsville, Alabama. It was built in 1892 by H. D. Breeding for the prominent local businessman Walter Everet. He hired Breeding to design the home in what they call the ?Late American Victorian? style, which is basically a mix of Gothic, Italianate, and Queen Anne motifs. The house served as the Everet family home for a couple of years.
In the 1940s, the Whitten-Everet House became an apartment building and it was altered to function as a multiple dwelling. By 1992, it was renovated again. This time, it was also remodeled to better function as the former Congressman Bud Cramer?s office. The gas light fixtures were converted to electric bulbs, its floors were refinished and its walls were repaired.
Bill Stender restored the Whitten-Everet House to its original state. It is now a part of the Twickenham Historic District tour.
