The Wilson Lake measures about 15.6 miles in length and is found in the middle of the Tennessee River and the Wheeler Lake. This water form features the best of the bass fishes in Alabama and it is home to a wide range of other freshwater fish. You would find bass in large and small mouths which are the ones that are mostly caught here in this lake. In fact, there were some striped and white bass species that weigh about 20 to 30 pounds.

This lake is very popular as a fishing spot in the state of Alabama. It is also perfect for both the bank and boat fishers with the bank anglers utilizing the platform right underneath the dam. It is during the fall season that the anglers will set forth here to fish for the smallmouth bass. During the summer season, it is the channel catfish that can be caught while it is the sauger you can bag during the winter. This is such a haven for every passionate angler.
