The Atwood Concert Hall is the largest venue in the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts. It was established in the late 1980s as a part of the city?s move to better promote the arts industry and culture of the area.

The Atwood Concert Hall is best described as ?acoustically sensitive and dramatically designed?. It is designed to seat over 2000 patrons with a large stage. The site is also equipped with state of the art equipment, making it most ideal to host symphonic, chamber, and popular music events and celebrations as well as musicals and dance Broadway productions.

Named after the noted historian and well known Anchorage hostess Evangeline Atwood and husband Robert, the Atwood Concert Hall is a must-see place if you?re in the city and a big fan of theatre.
