The Cape Krusenstern National Monument and Archaeological District is a historic site in the Northwest Arctic Borough in Alaska. It is a very historic area, showing evidences of human habitation from the ancient times, possibly tens of thousands of years ago.

Physically, the Cape Krusenstern National Monument and Archeological District is mostly a coastal plain with rolling hills of limestone and large lagoons. It is composed of 114 ancient beach ridges, which experts say formed 60 years apart. There are also traces showing that there could?ve been humans living in the area for five to nine thousand years in the past.

Declared as a National Historic Landmark in 1973, the Cape Krusenstern National Monument and Archeological District is also a US National Monument and a part of the National Historic Register.
