Alaska is a sprawling vastness of nothing but magnificent mountains, waterways, valleys and forests. The state is blessed with beautiful natural sceneries and state parks. One of the famous sights that Alaska can offer is the Chugach State Park.

At 495,204 acres, the Chugach State Park is the third largest in the United States. It is located in the Chugach Mountains at the municipality and borough of Anchorage. This park is a very popular nature and recreation destination for people from around Alaska and United States.

Several trailheads (about 28) located south of the Eagle River lead to this amazing park. The park is divided into three zones: North Park, Central Park, and South Park. The park has three campgrounds with complete facilities such as tables, fire rings, water faucets, and toilets. Other activities that visitors can indulge in are hiking, biking, picnicking, fishing, wildlife watching, and nature photography.
