The Discovery Theatre is an auditorium and performance space in the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts. It was a part of the huge arts complex built in the late 80s, along with four other venues that host various events and live performances regularly.

The Discovery Theatre is a bit smaller than the massive Atwood Concert Hall being a 700-seater theatre. However, it is equipped with a stage that is of the same size as the Atwood?s, promising the same amount of comfort for a much more intimate setting.

The Discovery Theatre is commonly used for theatre, opera, and musical performances. Film showings are also commonly held in the venue. Like other spaces inside the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, this one can also be rented for private events.
