The Earthquake Park is more of a memorial established to commemorate the fateful event of the great earthquake of 1964 that took and changed lives in Anchorage, Alaska. The site is actually on the very neighbourhood where a landslide happened in result of the great Good Friday earthquake.

With the said tragedy taking place almost half a century ago, do not expect much traces of the disaster. If you’re hoping to see wrecked cars or buildings, you won’t see that here as most of the remnants of the calamity were already cleared away. What you’ll find here are interpretive signs that will tell you of the event and some walking trails. On a clear day, you can also get a spectacular view of the Alaskan mountain ranges.
