The Alaska Beer Train is one of the especially themed trips offered by the Alaska Railroad Vacations. As the name suggests, it is quite the adult-oriented train ride that could remind many of ?Homeward Bound?, minus all the restrictions and formality.

Basically, the Great Alaska Beer Train is a one-day train ride offered in celebration of the Oktoberfest, one of the many holidays that celebrates ?spirit? and drinking. The train ride will take you from Anchorage to Portage in the presence of excellent scenery and various local and imported microbrews. For the total fee of $149, you get a round trip ticket with matching unlimited appetizers and a 6 hal pints worth of BrewHouse Beer. You just need to be 21 and over for the trip, though.
