The Juneau-Douglas City Museum is a historical museum featuring a series of artworks and other items that chronicles the history of the Juneau area. It may be pretty small in scale, but it is filled with informative pieces that will tell you a lot about the region?s colourful past.

The Juneau-Douglas City Museum is also the best place to learn about where you can see historic spots around the area. They distribute free historic walking tour maps and sell other brochures and pamphlets about other related stuff. Aside from that, they also have a good deal of information about the area, including artworks about the city?s past and a video that chronicles its mining days.

If you want some remembrance from your trip to the Juneau-Douglas City Museum, you can also stop by the gift shop and get a couple of souvenirs. They?re open year round on varying schedules, though.
