Glimpses of the life and culture of people of the Kachemak Bay can be found at the Pratt Museum in Homer, Alaska. The museum strives to collect, preserve and exhibit matters concerning the life around Kachemak Bay, such as Native Alaskan traditions, homesteads, local art, and exploration of the wildlife around the area.

The museum’s main attraction is the exhibit called “Kachemak Bay: An Exploration of People and Place”. This exhibit depicts the culture and contemporary life in the said bay from the earliest Native Alaskans to the immigrants during the 30s and 40s to the fisheries in the modern times. Other attractions include live-feed wildlife cameras, through which visitors can see puffins, cormorants and other seabirds in their natural habitat. Other interactive exhibits include fish-feeding, harbor tours, and SeeBird Camera control viewing.
