The Roudhouse Museum is a historic building in Girdwood, Alaska. It was constructed in 1960 as a warming hut. It later became a well known mountain gathering spot, with a restaurant and lounge under its roof. It has gone a long way from its inception, and now it is still a popular tourist attraction in the area.

The Roundhouse Museum served various purposes in the past. However, its most permanent function still remains to be the symbol of the significance of outdoor recreation in the Valley. As the area has always been home to winter sporting activities, the fact that the Roundhouse Museum stands reminds everyone of the area’s role for the past couple of decades.
