The Salmon Jam is an annual music festival celebrated alongside the Copper Wild Salmon Festival in Cordova, Alaska. In line with the salmon festival?s theme, the jam celebrates the small city?s fishing culture, social cadence, and arts.

The Salmon Jam commonly takes place around the month of July, around the same time that the Copper Wild Salmon Festival is celebrated. The event started as a casual and spontaneous jamming session among musicians, but with the success in terms of attendance, it soon became an official part of the festivities, giving people additional reasons to take part on the happenings.
The Salmon Jam has been around for more than ten years now. It is best described as a celebration for the return of the wild salmon up the Copper River, signifying the vitality of the city?s fishing industry.
