The Tour of Anchorage is a much anticipated event in Anchorage, Alaska. It is basically a ski marathon around the city, done as a part of the American Ski Marathon.

Started in 1988, the Tour of Anchorage began small, only attracting up to 15 skiers at most. However, when the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail was finished, it became better known, and quickly established itself as a state-wide event.
The Tour of Anchorage is commonly held around March. It offers various categories like 25k, 40K, and 50K. It is best known as North America’s longest running and largest racing and touring series. The record time for the longest race is 2:06, although, the records are easily affected by snow conditions, so things like these could easily vary.
