The ULU Factory is an ulu knife making facility in Anchorage, Alaska. It is quite historic for being an established ulu manufacturing company, as well as for continuing the local heritage. The ulu, being a traditional Alaskan tool, is really nice to get to know, especially if you have a penchant for blades.

The ULU Factory started out almost 30 years ago in a garage. Today, however, they’re already located in a 12,000 square feet manufacturing and retail space (which is still growing), to better promulgate the history behind the product and share the traditions of the state.

If you’re planning to visit the ULU Factory, you can also catch their vintage trolley for free every day, from 10am to 7pm during the months of June through August.
