The Wrangell Museum is a chronicling of the colourful past of the city of Wrangell, Alaska. It is basically a place where you can get as much local history as you want through its displays and exhibits.

The Wrangell Museum features four exquisitely carved Tlingit houseposts as its main highlight. These artifacts are actually on loan from the Wrangell Cooperative Association, so if you want to check these 18th century houseposts, believed to be the oldest known of its sort, out, this is the best place to go. Aside from these, they also have other displays that will surely prove informative and educational for visitors.

Open by appointment, make sure to book in advance before heading to the Wrangell Museum.
