The Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum portrays life in the town during the ancient times through images, artifacts and even diorama. It is an affiliate member of the entire Smithsonian institution and it is found in the past Phelps Dodge Building that was built way back in 1897. In its research library section is where you can find numerous manuscripts, research books and even images that give emphasis to the history of the state and the highlights too of the periods when copper mining was the main industry.

The entire past of the city is reflected and conveniently recorded through the items that you will see in the museum. It is a dynamic contribution to the education and cultural needs of the community?s next generation.

An added bonus while visiting Bisbee is the one street ghost town next door of Lowell.
